The Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh hosted their 25th Annual Urban League Sunday at Pentecostal Temple COGIC, in East Liberty, Feb. 21. The keynote speaker was Rev. Dr. Harold Carter Sr. of New Shiloh Baptist in Baltimore.

There was a pre-concert by DaMarra Chanel and songs from the Church In The Round Concert Choir. The event was free and open to the public.

The order of the day was pre-concert music, musical prelude, greeting address by Esther Bush, president and CEO of Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh; welcome and prayer by Rev. Loran Mann, host pastor, Pentecostal Temple; and introduction of guest speaker by Rev. Dr. William Curtis, Mt. Ararat Baptist Church.

FEB. 28—Central Baptist Church, 2200 Wylie Ave., Hill District, will host the African-American History Celebration “Looking Back To Go Forward” from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Ralph Proctor PhD, chairman of the Ethnic and Diversity Studies Department at CCAC, will be the keynote speaker and Harold Hayes will be the Master of Ceremony.
