Many surprised on ‘The Glory Train’
Category: Lifestyle Written by Courier Newsroom
The Lost But Not Forgotten Outreach Ministry presented “The Glory Train” play July 10 at the East Liberty Presbyterian Church.
The play focused on the Glory Train taking people to glory, heaven, but along the way there were some stops, in which the She Devil boarded to take some off.

Hawaiian Bash

Aloha was the greeting on June 20 at the Hosanna House Sherwood Property as Leah Thomas greeted guests for her Hawaiian Bash. The calendar said it was Father’s Day but it was also a time to celebrate Thomas’ birthday.

Guests were invited to wear their best island wear. Leah’s friends gave each person a lei and special friends received a lei made of real orchards. For many this was a first to see and feel a real lei. Thomas wore a lei and a head lei of plumeria flowers on her head. The plumeria is a tropical flower and nothing says Hawaii like the plumeria.

Was it worth it?

Get out of debt guru Dave Ramsey was famous for recommending people who were in deep debt to get a part time job delivering pizza. With the most recent rash of pizza driver holdups it doesn’t sound like a good idea.
Am I watching too much television? I must be. I’m watching the old shows where crooks planned out the crime and went for large rewards like the Mona Lisa, all of the diamonds in the jewelry store or the money in the cash delivery truck. What are you going to do with a pizza, a 2-liter and maybe a few 20s?

People are saying ‘don’t marry him!’
Category: Lifestyle Written by Gwendolyn Baines
Two years ago I met a man who is 10 years my junior. We started talking at first just to have a nice conversation. Then I fell in love with him and he tells me that he fell in love with me at first sight. This is the problem: I am 39 and he is 29. I have been married and he has also been married. My husband was 10 years older than me, but most unkind and our marriage was over years before we separated-divorced and went our separate ways.
Gwendolyn, is it possible for a man to be 10 years younger than the woman and really be in love with her? I love him, but people are trying to persuade me to drop the relationship.—Shirley
