My favorite things for 2012

This is as close as I can get to Oprah’s Favorite Things Show. I can’t give you the gifts, but I can tell you where to find them.
I so love shopping and finding cool things to bring home. This year it was back to Station Square for some quick finds. Pittsburghers love anything Steeler related and Station Square is Steeler central. At DebWal you can find comfy Steeler slippers for cozy game watching and they also have the holiday Terrible Towel. I understand these are collector’s items. Also at DebWal I found the Three Rivers Stadium and Forbes Field Signs, great accents for the ultimate man cave. DebWal is the place for beautiful purses and the guitar purse, by Mary Frances, comes in many colors, this is for the woman who has everything.
I have a new favorite tee shirt, a black long sleeve cotton shirt with a handsome picture of President Barack Obama. On the back of the shirt it says “back to back.” I found this at New York, New York and they also have Barack Obama sunglasses and ball caps. So you don’t have to go to the inauguration to get the goodies.
Every year I pick up a calendar for my desk and some for my friends. My niece loves the show Cash Cab so I found her a Cash Cab calendar at Bradley’s Books; all of the 2013 calendars are already half off.
I love to read and the latest book by Sharon G. Flake, “Pinned” is fantastic, pick it up and kick back in a pair of heated slippers, Hot Booties, they come in blue for men and pink for women.
Pick up some of my favorite things at DebWal in Station Square; New York, New York in Station Square; Bradley’s in Station Square; and Hot Booties (anywhere “As Seen on TV” is sold).
