Fashion Watch: The Statement Ring
Category: Lifestyle Published on Friday, 21 December 2012 09:43 Written by Debbie Norrell - Courier Lifestyles Editor
Cocktail rings now known as statement rings will never go out of style. They’re conversation pieces that will for sure start a never ending discussion on who, what, where, you get that from?
The rings are big, bold and eye-catching. They can match an outfit or not. Nowadays rings are a far cry from what they used to be, instead of the predictable and bland regular circle shape, they have progressively transformed into any kind of shape and size possible.
From geometric shapes to animal skulls and feet, the accessory has been given quite the interesting spin! With the different shapes and sizes you can wear one, two, three or four rings at a time.
You can go crazy with this trend. There is a store in Monroeville Mall that sells statement rings for one dollar. Yes one dollar. So you too can be a statement ring junkie.
The beautiful rings are not for women only. You can find the fashionable man wearing multiple rings and fabulous jewelry. Often you will see men wearing the knuckle ring, a ring that may span from one finger to the next. Don’t be afraid to mix metals, silver with gold. This is one trend you will want to enjoy. It is fun and for every fashionista, ones on a budget or not.
