:10 Five “5” things you must have to win the Super Bowl according to me…yea, I said it. 1. A great defense and that includes the “D” line, linebackers and “D” backs. We got that! (Although the “D” line is not where we need it to be. They’re still a little young and Aaron Smith is gone) 2. An offensive line to protect the quarterback and establish the running game… Steelers style. We got that! (As a matter of fact we might have one of the best in the league before it’s all said and done) 3. A great quarterback. We got that! 4. A great running game/running back. We got that! (Redman has a lot to prove and he’s not trying to give this job back to Mendenhall) 5. A great receiving set. Yea you know we got that! That said, Super Bowl No. 7 is on the way. Take it to bank.
:09 Speaking of great receivers, Mike Wallace who??? Hey, Mike you better be watching the Antonio Brown story unfold. (Get your butt to camp boy and take that 2.7 million off the table C’mon Man!)
:08 Want to welcome Ms. Jan to the group. Didn’t know you were a reader but glad to have ya. You’re now in the Locker Room.
:07 Hey everybody that knows J.D. Whitely…aka Elder Whitely now, you should know he’s coming home from Atlanta to run The Great Race. If you got his number hit him up. Or look for him among the 10,000 people he’s running with. He’s easy to find. He’s “The Big Head Boy” with the new halo! (Neal be careful with that man…hey I’m just saying!)
:06 Here’s to the best friend a man could have…sometimes… no, my bad…all the time! (After all, I do want to get back to the Legend’s VIP Tent) Steelers Super Bowl Champion, Judge Dwayne Woodruff hooked me up; game tickets, parking ticket, chicken and ribs in the tent. I love you, man!!! (Oh, by the way, to the two hot babes that I gave an autograph to…I didn’t play for the Steelers. Now wait a minute you haters, before you pass judgment on me hear the whole story. They walked up to me and asked if I played football and wanted my autograph. Well, I did play football…but not for the Steelers. (Penn Hills and Slippery Rock count) Got-cha girls!!! (Oh, shut up you would have done the same thing! Yes, you would…yes, you would!)
:05 Here’s a 5 speed salute to the Pgh United Rays Corvette Club for their annual back to school supplies give-a-way and cruise at the East Hills Giant Eagle. (Ms. Debbie’s spot) (No it ain’t Penn Hills it’s East Hills now shut-up!) Anyway we gave away more than 100 book bags loaded with school supplies at the cruise and it was great seeing the smiles on those kids’ faces. Sometimes people…we just get it done right in the ’hood!
:04 Speaking of salutes, and I was. A big Mel Blount White Cowboy Hat tip to Central Baptist Church for their 1st Annual Celebrity Bowling Tournament held out at North Versailles Lanes last week and a special tip to the organizers Rev. Victor Grigsby, TiAnda Blount, Renee Giles, Tawana Seals, Jacqui Dawson, Ken Smith, John Suber, LaVerdia Ware, and all the exceptional coordinators and helpers. If you missed it you missed seeing the greatest of all time. Mel Blount, Judge Dwayne Woodruff, Louis Lipps, J.T. Thomas and Robin Cole. Man, I thought Rev. Grigsby was about to lead the boys into battle one more time. (Oh, by the way, the next time you see Mel Blount in person look at him and ask yourself how a man this big played cornerback. It’s just not possible …and he can still play if called upon…hey the man made the NFL change the rules for goodness sakes!) (And great to see you there Judge Kim Clark)
:03 The…your…our Pittsburgh Pirates go 19—-teen innings to beat the St. Louis Cardinals. Nuff said!
:02 So you think The Champions Association can throw a par-tay? (and we can) and you probably think that Vince Neal can throw a par-tay? (and he can) But I tell ya what. Ms. Debbie Norrell can throw a par-tay. The best one all year mmmmaaaannn! I am telling you if you missed it…well, you probably weren’t invited…oops, my bad! Anyway, all you could eat, not one but two cakes, the D.C. Chandler Band, the baddest D.J. in the world “Nate The Barber.” (I told Nate to hold up you bout to kill somebody out here. I mean non stop funk) Wait, wait, wait, I ain’t done. Then she gave you gifts to go home with. I know it was Debbie’s birthday but it felt like it was mine. (shut-up, Vince, just shut up!!) (Gerri W.M. I know it’s a sports column, and I know you want me to find my identity…but it’s too much fun this way. Luv ya!).
