Fashion Watch : The puppy purse goes to the Oscars

Quvenzhané Wallis wasn't the only pint-sized star to dazzle on the Oscars red carpet Sunday night. Her tutu-and-tiara-wearing puppy purse was also turning heads and was so age appropriate.

In fact, the Poochie & Co. design has sparked a canine-shaped carryall craze (try saying that five times fast). A rep for the company told TMZ that sales of their signature bags have "skyrocketed" since Monday morning.

This comes as no surprise. The 9-year-old actress, who is set to star in the remake of "Annie," has been sporting her extensive collection of puppy purses at virtually every Hollywood appearance, resulting in double-digit growth for Poochie & Co. I checked their website and they are completely sold out.

Prepare for a puppy-purse palooza at your local playground and school yard, I’m sure young and young at heart will want to carry this cute purse.. When shopping for a puppy purse make sure it is one for you to carry and not one to carry your puppy. I’m looking forward to other signature purses and maybe a clothing line from Wallis. She will be one to watch.
