Infinite Scholarship Fair
OCT. 10—The Infinite Scholars Program and the United States Army ROTC will host the Infinite Scholarship Fair from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Petra International Ministries, 235 East Gate Dr., East Hills. There will be representatives from colleges and universities on-site accepting eligible students and providing full and partial scholarships. Students should bring transcripts, scores, letters of recommendations and essays on the Importance of Higher Education. Autumn Soiree
OCT. 11—Three Rivers Youth will host its Autumn Soiree from 6-8:30 p.m. at the LeMont Restaurant, 1114 Grandview Ave., Mount Washington. This event is to raise awareness and support the TRY and its programs that benefit abused, neglected, runaway, homeless youth and their families. Reservations are required. Make Up Bar
OCT. 13—The Make Up Bar Organization and Event Planning will host The “Make-Up Bar” from 1:30-8 p.m. at the New Hazlett Theater, Allegheny Square, North Side. The event is to enforce women empowerment and make women feel beautiful. This is also to support one another in stopping domestic violence. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh and the Beaver County Women’s Shelter. This is an 18 and over event. Fashions For a Cure
OCT. 14—Selections by Genea & Eric Boutique will host the 8th annual Fashions For a Cure Fashion Show/Luncheon Fundraiser from 2-6 p.m. at the Willow Room, 800 Plaza Dr., Belle Vernon. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be given to the Jefferson Branch UPMC Cancer Center’s Patient Assistance Fund. The mistress of ceremonies will be Kim Gill of KDKA-TV and the Flow Band will be the entertainment. Tickets are $40 in advance, $45 at the door. For more information, call 412-233-7242.
School Anniversary
OCT. 18—The Westinghouse High School Alumni Committee will host the Alumni Day and 100th Anniversary Celebration of Westinghouse High School from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at 1101 N. Murtland St., Homewood. Ladies Night Out

InfraGard Safe Schools Conference
OCT. 24—InfraGard Pittsburgh will host its 2012 Safe Schools Statewide Conference from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Hampton High School, 2929 McCully Rd., Allison Park. The conference will provide simultaneous presentations and interactive forums, which focus on anti-bullying awareness and cyber security. This is for parents and anyone who works with today’s youth.
