JULY 15—Laced Apparel will host The Show 2012 Fashion Showcase at 7 p.m. at the New Hazlett Theatre, 6 Allegheny Square, North Side. The show will feature several up and coming Pittsburgh fashion designers and boutiques. A VIP reception is also available. For more information, call 412-576-9376.
Free swimming lessons
JULY 17—The Allegheny County Parks Department will host free Swimming Lessons from 10-10:45 a.m. at Boyce, North, Settlers Cabin and South Parks. Tuesdays and Thursdays in July, qualified instructors will be on hand to give swimming lessons to kids ages 5 and up. Children with last names beginning with A through K will meet July 17 and 24. JULY 25—The Jakim Donaldson PROMISE organization will host a Basketball Camp from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Perry High School, 3875 Perrysville Ave., North Side.
