Bobonis honored by Homer S. Brown Law Association with Drum Major for Justice Award

FAMILY—The Homer S. Brown Law Association hosted their annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Breakfast at Mount Ararat Baptist Church in East Liberty Jan. 18. After breakfast, Regis Bobonis was presented the Drum Major for Justice Award. Mistress of Ceremonies was Darryl Ford-Williams. The event was free and open to the public. Kristi L. Johnson, president of the Homer S. Brown Law Association, said that Bobonis is an unsung hero who has been very instrumental in the advancement of Black people in media. Even today, he still contributes to the media and educating individuals about history. He is truly a phenomenal and humble man, very deserving of this honor. Bobonis is believed to be the first Black to work for the Post-Gazette.
