My first stop was at the fourth annual Hill District Parade where City Councilwoman Tonya Payne was in charge. The parade was a festive event for everyone involved and they ended up at Ammon’s Recreation Center in the Hill District where there was free food and music for everyone to enjoy. I have to shout out Carmen Pace and all the supporters who came out.

My next stop was the Braddock Elks in Braddock, Pa. where Lady Di & Company hosted the Black and White Christmas Ball Fundraiser for disadvantaged families for Christmas. Dinner was served and there was great entertainment by Shelly.
My next stop was at the North Side Elks in the Hill District where Franco “Dok” Harris watched the Steelers game with members of the North Side Elks and also helped celebrate the 75th Birthday of “Sonny.” I visited the Flamingo Lounge right down the street where former Steeler Franco Harris was in the building representin’ for his son by giving out T-shirts that read “HILL YES” Franco “Dok” Harris for Mayor of Pittsburgh.

My final destination was at CJ’s in the Strip District where DJ Sly Jock was on the 1’s and 2’s spinning the oldies but goodies. If you missed it, you really missed a great time of grown folks getting their party on.
Last week, I made an error. My friend and hip-hop extraordinaire and royalty Yah Lioness’ name was misspelled, so there it is—Yah Lioness.
