The prosecution’s case is falling apart. All of the physical evidence supports Zimmerman’s claim of self-defense. All of the eyewitnesses of the physical fight saw Martin beating Zimmerman. The prosecution’s “star witness”, the so-called girlfriend of Trayvon who was speaking to him on the phone, actually helps the defense because she establishes that Trayvon backtracked and that he initated the confrontation with Zimmerman. She might have severe credibility issues though, we’re not sure yet if she was the one who lied about her age and being hospitalized, or if it was the Martin family attorney who lied about it. In either case, this spells trouble for the prosecution.

A couple of major corrections to your article: 1) Zimmerman did not ignore a police dispatcher’s "order". It wasn't an order, the dispatcher told Zimmerman that it wasn't necessary for him to follow Martin ("we don't need you to do that"). If she had issued an order, she would have said "You need to stop following him". But even though the dispatcher's communication wasn't an order, Zimmerman STOPPED. 2) You omitted some crucial events to explain why Martin was shot. Martin ran toward his father's mistress' apartment, but then backtracked, initiated a confrontation with Zimmerman, punched Zimmerman in the face, and then beat Zimmerman "MMA style".
