SEPT. 17—The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh will host their Business Program Series from 12:15-1 p.m. at the Downtown & Business branch, 612 Smithfield St. The topic is “‘Tell Me About a Time...’: Behavioral Interviewing Strategies.” Geri Puleo of G.A. Puleo & Associates, will present this workshop. Behavioral interviews are increasingly being used with prospective employees and with this type of interview you can’t just “wing it.” This interactive session will offer strategies that will help you prepare for this difficult type of interview. Leadership summit
SEPT. 17—The African American Leadership Association will host the First Quarterly African American Leadership Summit Dialogue Series from 1-4 p.m. at the Community College of Allegheny County North Side Campus, 808 Ridge Ave., North Side. This series of sessions will continue the conversations started at the summit in June. There will be a discussion on corporate inclusion, an equity report from the Regional Equity Monitoring Project will be given, along with a keynote address from Court Gould of Sustainable Pittsburgh. There will also be a panel discussion with moderator Ed Gainey, the City of Pittsburgh Coordinator of Economic Development. This event is free and open to the public.
