Tilman birthday bash helps AAMI

For 30 years Betty Tilman has been a board member of the Afro-American Music Institute in Homewood.

“Whatever you do, don't give up on our children, music, arts or humanity,” she said to more than 150 guests at her 79th Birthday Fundraiser Celebration for the Afro-American Music Institute.

“No matter the aches and pains or disappointment of living, when you honor yourself and others through service and monetary support to AAMI, you are offering love that nurtures, heals and help our creative, talented youth blossom in excellence and joy. Your support of the Afro-American Music Institute Boys Choir will bring more joy to the world.”

She said she is still accepting birthday gifts. Checks may be made out and mailed to the Afro-American Music Institute.
