(CNN) -- Among the many things you've probably heard about "Cloud Atlas," one tidbit you've likely picked up on is that the expansive film tackles the idea of reincarnation.
Halle Berry, for instance, is one of many actors who plays multiple roles - with the help of an enthusiastic makeup team - in order to convey that point.
It turns out that it's a concept Berry, 46, can get behind.
"I think it's huge and something I believe in; the idea of reincarnation," she told CNN at the Los Angeles premiere of the film on Wednesday. So if she could choose how she'd appear in her next life, what would she pick?
"I hope an animal," she said. "I'm a little tired of the human being thing; I'd love to come back as an animal next time around."
But, while she's, er, still a human, Berry's cherishing the work that she's done on "Cloud Atlas," which was adapted from the David Mitchell novel by Tom Tykwer and Lana and Andy Wachowski. The movie, which opened Friday, boasts an enviable cast, including Tom Hanks, Hugo Weaving, Susan Sarandon, Jim Broadbent, Ben Whishaw and Doona Bae.
"To have the chance to work with so many great actors, great filmmakers, felt like something I didn't want to miss, you know," Berry said. "The opportunity as an actor was too huge."
