Pittsburgh rapper convicted in 2008 heroin seizure

SOMERSET, Pa. (AP)—A Pittsburgh rap musician faces at least four years in prison after he was found guilty of possessing heroin found in a car stopped on the Pennsylvania Turnpike nearly four years ago.

The Daily American of Somerset reports 29-year-old Khalid-ibn Abdullah Kareem will be sentenced Dec. 5 after Wednesday's conviction on charges including possession with intent to deliver heroin.
Kareem, who performs as S. Money, faces the minimum sentence because of prior convictions.
His attorney, Paul Gettleman, argued that Kareem didn't know the drugs were in the car and that he was just getting a ride from a friend when he was stranded in New Jersey. Prosecutors say they found Kareem's fingerprints on a bag that contained other bags filled with drugs.
Three others in the car have previously pleaded guilty.
