Kendrick did not go far enough

The article “Pittsburgh Blacks most docile in America?” is right on. But Mr. Kendrick did not go far enough. Pittsburgh Black people take too much crap and will not challenge that White man, and especially when it comes to their children.

A young Black man can get into trouble…we see these judges put high bails on them… and when it comes to sentencing a young Black male can get 15, 20, 30 years.

I don’t condone law breaking, but how do you know if you don’t challenge the actions of Whites, whether they are justified and right or not. When Trayvon Martin was killed, the Blacks in Florida and elsewhere never let up. They demonstrated and raised their voices daily. Take the young Black man that held that White man hostage in Gateway Center. A bond of $1 million, now come on. People that commit cold-blooded murder don’t get that kind of bail.

As for politics, Blacks in politics is not the answer. For the most part, Blacks in politics have no dynamics and guts at all.

Blacks need to start pulling and sticking together, get back in church, supporting and taking care of their children and working on preserving the family unit. But above all, respecting each other and being proud of our Black heritage and our Blackness.
