Ladies and gents mark your calendars. Designer Days is right around the corner.
This is the granddaddy of sales for fashionistas that love a bargain. Years ago Designer Days was just for the ladies, but now you can find handsome clothing at discount prices for men as well.
The Monroeville Convention Center is the place and the big sale begins Nov. 8, from 6-9 p.m with the Patron Event, this event is $40. Nov. 9 is Preview Day, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and is $20.
On Sat., Nov. 10 the doors open to the public at 10 a.m. for free. You can shop until 5 p.m. on Sat. and then come back on Sun. for the half-price sale; everything that is remaining will be 50 percent off. Doors open at 10 a.m on Sun., but as a Designer Day veteran, let me warn you that people line up early.
Don’t forget to check out the latest in furs from Carl Herrmann Furs and new this year the St John Boutique. Sounds like a winner to me.
It’s not too late to volunteer at Designer Days. You don’t have to be a NCJW member to help set up and run the sale. And a wonderful bonus comes with volunteering; all volunteers receive a $10 gift certificate.
Designer Days is a project of the National Council of Jewish Women, Pittsburgh Section. All proceeds support NCJW projects and advocacy that help improve the lives of women, children and families in the region.
