Special guest Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald performed, along with the following candidates: U.S. Sen. Bob Casey; U.S. Rep. Mike Doyle; U.S. Rep. Tim Murphy; State Treasurer Robert McCord; State Sen. Jay Costa Jr.; State Rep. Matt Smith; Commissioner Larry Maggi; Commissioner Diana Irey Vaughan; Kathleen Kane; Dr. Hans Lessmann and Raja.
Celebrating its fifth year anniversary, CCN is one of the major fundraisers for the Allegheny County Music Festival Fund, which benefits children served by the Department of Human Services and/or the Juvenile Section of the Family Division of the Court of Common Pleas. All proceeds benefit the fund.
“Since its inception, the fund has provided more than 2,300 children with meaningful items or opportunities that cannot be provided through traditional government funding,” said DHS Director Marc Cherna. “I can’t thank the candidates enough. Because of their participation tonight, we will be able to make a difference in even more children’s lives.”
