Wheatley’s Community Appreciation Day
Category: Lifestyle Published on Friday, 12 October 2012 09:24 Written by Courier Newsroom
State Representative Jake Wheatley, 19th district, held his 10th annual Community Appreciation Day recently in the Hill District. There was something for all ages geared around the family. The day was filled with entertainment, art, games, food and tables where residents could get health checkups for various diseases.
The photo shows volunteers Sonya Tilgham, Michele Thompkins, Vince Lopez, Justin James and Tammy Thompson, aboard the Fifth Third Bank eBus Classroom. Wheatley said he does this each year to show his appreciation to the residents of the 19 district who have continued to supported him. (Photos by Rossano P. Stewart)
